Billy Jean King Cup Finals
What Are the Billie Jean King Cup Finals?
The Billie Jean King Cup, formerly known as the Federation Cup and later the Fed Cup, is the premier international team competition in women’s tennis. It is often called the World Cup of Women’s Tennis because it brings together national teams from around the globe.
Each tie between nations consists of singles and doubles matches, and since 2021 the competition has featured a finals stage where the world’s top teams battle for the trophy. Starting in 2025, the format features eight teams in a straight knockout: quarterfinals, semifinals, and the championship final.
The 2025 edition will be staged from September 16 to 21 at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre Arena in China, with the host nation China, defending champions Italy, and six other qualifiers making up the field.
